We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Psychologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a collaborative setting, working closely with our integrated care team to support the emotional and developmental health of every child. This position is embedded within an interdisciplinary Pediatrics team focused on holistic child wellness.
Position Highlights
As a Pediatric Psychologist at CNDH, you will:
- Provide comprehensive psychological evaluations, therapy and behavioral interventions for children and adolescents within our integrated care model
- Work collaboratively with pediatricians, advanced practice providers, early childhood developmental therapists, medical family therapists and families
- Support early childhood development, trauma-informed care and resilience building
This role is embedded within an interdisciplinary Pediatrics team focused on holistic child wellness, where you will coordinate care alongside integrated Pediatric Pharmacists for medication management, on-site Pediatric Dental Services, Pediatric Developmental Specialists and dedicated RN Case Managers who provide care coordination for children with complex medical needs. This collaborative approach ensures comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses every aspect of a child's emotional, developmental and overall well-being.
Call Schedule & Coverage
- All federal holidays observed with clinic closure

- The Pediatric team consists of 13 dedicated pediatric providers working collaboratively to deliver exceptional care

- Dedicated RN Case Managers to assist with complex patient needs
- Nurse Practitioner or PA support during hospitalist weeks

Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program
- Active Oklahoma state licensure or ability to obtain
- Experience working with children and families (preferably in a medical or tribal setting)
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally competent and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and passion for enhancing child health and community well-being

This position is located within the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health (CNDH) in the Ada Primary Care Clinic located in the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center (CNMC), or in the Satellite Health Clinics located in Ardmore, Purcell and Tishomingo. The purpose of this position is to perform specialty medicine dealing with the physical, emotional and social health of children from birth to young adulthood.
Responsibilities

- Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
- Protects the patient’s rights, dignity, and privacy
- Transfers care as appropriate utilizing the SBAR system
- Acts as a consultant to other physicians
- Ensures continuity of care
- Provides comprehensive medical services in pediatric care
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to follow instructions, both written and oral
- Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements

- Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other. rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines
- Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management
- Maintains clear and complete employee health records
Education:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program

Experience:
- 3 years directly related experience
Licenses:
- Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Pass general background check
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration Number
