  • Modern Facility: Dedicated Women's Services floor with 14 rooms, 4 labor and delivery rooms and a dedicated C-section room
  • Supportive Team: Strong collaboration with certified nurse midwives (CNMs), experienced nursing staff and readily available anesthesiology
  • Manageable Volume: Approximately 80 deliveries per month
  • Integrated System: Full support of emergency department (ED), hospitalist service and comprehensive clinic network
  • Teaching Opportunities: Optional involvement with medical students and Family Medicine residents

Call Schedule & Coverage

  • CNMs take first call
  • OB backup call with strong support system

Advanced Technology & Support

  • State-of-the-art imaging including:
    • 256 & 64 slice computed tomography (CT) scanners
    • Two magnetic response imaging (MRI) units
  • Modern ultrasound/sonography equipment
  • 24-hour pharmacy with Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA)
  •  Comprehensive electronic management records (EMR) system - Transitioning to EPIC EMR in 2025

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Completion of U.S. accredited residency program
  • Board eligible (BE) required, board certified (BC) preferred
  • 2+ years post-residency experience preferred
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care

This position is located within the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health (CNDH) in the Ada located in the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center (CNMC), or in the Satellite Health Clinics located in Ardmore, Purcell and Tishomingo. The purpose of this position is to provide specialty care dealing with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of women.

  • Protects the patient’s rights, dignity, and privacy
  • Transfers care as appropriate utilizing the SBAR system
  • Acts as a consultant to other physicians
  • Ensures continuity of care
  • Provides comprehensive obstetric service including antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to follow instructions, both written and oral

  • Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines

  • Basic computer skills

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy

Experience:

  • 3 years directly related experience

Licenses:

  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Pass general background check
  • Unrestricted Medical License
